How do I become a member of The Alpha group team?
In order for you to become eligible for temporary or permanent work through The Alpha Group, you must fill out an application, complete testing on software and office skills indicated on the application, and provide Alpha with two forms of identification.
Once these steps are completed, you'll meet with one of our Career Counsellors to match your skills with current assignments. Remember, although you will work for our clients, you are an Alpha employee — your payroll and all benefits are provided through The Alpha Group.
Once I am assigned what happens?
When you accept an assignment from Alpha, you make a commitment to start work at our client company on the agreed upon date and time. We give you all the details, such as where the client is, how long the assignment will last, what the pay is, etc. The Alpha Group will also provide all rules and policies associated with the client. Make sure to check your calendar to let us know if you have any appointments during your assignment. Also, it's a good idea to arrive a little early on the first day, just to get use to your new assignment.
What kinds of jobs are available?
The Alpha Group takes great pride in consistently posting and updating Job Listings. We offer several Temporary, Temp to Perm, and Permanent positions in a wide array of industries. We do our best to contact qualified applicants if we think a position matches their skill set, but please do not hesitate to call us first if you see a position of interest.
Is there a fee to apply?
No. All our job seekers can use The Alpha Group services free of charge. We only charge a fee to our client companies.
Is there computer training and testing I can take advantage of?
Yes. The Alpha Group has a resource of all the major software packages, including Windows, Lotus, Excel, Word, WordPerfect and more! The testing, developed specifically to assist you in employment preparation, will help you compare your skills to a pre-determined average. Learn more...
